The client
Lovepop turns greetings into 3D paper art. Every card is built on Slicegami™, the paper-engineering technique behind the laser-cut pop-up sculptures that unfold when the envelope opens.
It is a high-growth, Shark Tank-backed brand running a Shopify Plus direct-to-consumer storefront alongside retail and wholesale channels, coordinated across international design and merchandising teams.
What we did
-
Feature implementation
Scalable storefront features in Liquid, SCSS and JavaScript, built on reusable components so the theme stays maintainable as the catalogue grows.
-
Performance programme
WebP conversion, lazy loading, load-on-demand and resource prioritisation - led across the team and presented to stakeholders.
-
Theme automation
A GitHub Actions workflow that detects theme changes made in the admin and opens pull requests for the merchandising team.
-
Health dashboard
An internal app giving executives real-time site health, including the state of third-party integrations.
-
AI dev harness
A structured layer that gives AI tools the codebase context, with automated tests and AI review enforcing the team’s conventions.
-
CMS enablement
Configurable sections and snippets so merchandisers manage content without developer time.
